Natural Aphrodisiacs
The use of aromatherapy as an aphrodisiac dates back
to the times of Cleopatra, who indulged in this practice, using
the intoxicating scents of cinnamon, cardamom and rose to bewitch
and entice Marc Antony.
The use of aromatherapy can enhance almost any person’s
mood. The constituents in essential oils are known to affect the
central nervous system and influence the limbic system. Essential
oils also activate the sense of smell, which is key to sexual arousal.
Pure essential oils can be found at your local health food store.
Make sure the products you are getting are pure and unadulterated.
The term 'aphrodisiac' is derived from Aphrodite,
the goddess of love and sexuality and is described as a substance
used to increase sexual desire or enjoyment. Some of the most common
aphrodisiac essential oils include:

Using Essential Oils to Enhance Sexual Desire
In the Bath
Place 1⁄2 cup of epsom salts and a 1⁄4 cup of ground
oatmeal in a bowl. Mix in 6 drops of essential oils along with 2
tbsp of vegetable oil (olive or sweet almond) and pour in a bath
for a sensual, silky experience.
You may also decide to mix 4-6 drops of your favorite
scents in a vegetable oil and pour into a warm bath.
Massage
Use massage oils or massage bars which contain cocoa butter to further
enhance the sensual pleasures. When using all natural products for
massage, you can let your imagination take over and not be concerned
with toxic substances being ingested or absorbed on your tongue.
Inhalation
Place one or two drops of essential oils on a tissue or scarf and
inhale (the scarves could of course be used to further the experience
in bed ;).
You may also consider diffusing a couple of drops
in a room diffuser or using a room spray on sheets and pillows.
